GREAT new things are happening with Schar

I am happy to report that Schar is reintroducing its fine bread products.  As a leader in gluten-free food, Schar has offered some awesome rolls and bread -- and now, some of the favorites will be back on the shelf!

Here's some direct nformation, compliments of Schar:

Schar Gluten-free Sub Sandwich Rolls are delicious, low fat, non-GMO and an excellent source of fiber. Perfect for school or work lunches, Schar Sub Sandwich Rolls come individually wrapped in convenient two-packs for optimum freshness. These hearty rolls can handle the piled-high fixings of the perfect submarine sandwich, from favorite deli-meats to fresh-sliced hot or cold beef, turkey or chicken. For a savory twist on your favorite Italian dish, use the Sub Sandwich Par-baked Rolls to house meatballs and marinara sauce or sliced Chicken Parmesan. I think these would be awesome over the holidays with turkey or ham!

Offering a taste of Italy, fresh from the oven, Ciabatta fans will love Schar’s new Ciabatta Rolls, the first gluten-free heat & serve ciabatta rolls available in the U.S. Not only are these rolls light, fluffy and flavorful, but they’re also a good source of fiber.  I'd like to make a GF muffelatta sandwich on this -- I already have the olive spread handy!

Schar Gluten-Free Baguettes offer bread-lovers the perfect accompaniment to their favorite meals, from salad to soup. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, these baguettes are perfect for dipping in soup or enjoying with your favorite gluten-free pasta.  Who wouldn't like some crostini over the holidays?  Or Bruschetta?  Maria Batali, look out!  I got bread for your spreads!

In fact, here's a great spread that would well with all of the breads described here:

Mix one container (large) of soft cream cheese (Non-dairy ok).  Add 1/2 cup of chopped olives (any kind but I like green ones for this) and a 1/2 cup of chopped toasted pecans.  Mix thoroughly, season with a dash of seasoning salt.  This should be delicious as either a bread filling, a topping for a sub with lunch meat, or on a crostini!

To say Schar's bread is delicious is born out by the fact that many restaurants have chosen them for their products.  They really are awesome. I know if I had a panini press, the ciabatta would be something I'd be using for New Year's Eve -- elegant sandwiches!

For instance, I just joined the

Schar Club

so I'll get information and offers in my email box (I'll also be sharing them as they come in on this blog. I also follow them on Facebook and Twitter
