Hola Amigos! @Winn_Dixie Invites Latino Shoppers to New Facebook Page @WinnDixieCarlos

Me encanta Winn Dixie!

Now-a-days, you would be hard pressed to find someone without some sort of social networking profile, whether it be Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn or Pinterest, it seems like everyone, from abuelitas to primos and vecinos to amigos, are connecting online. As avid users of the internet, Hispanics use social media to easily connect and share information with their families, both domestic and abroad, as well as engage with brands that offer relevant information and relate to their culture.

With this in mind, Winn-Dixie is making it easier for Hispanic guests to connect via Facebook. Winn-Dixie recently launched its Latino Facebook page engaging consumers through the sharing of relevant content, exclusive recipes and upcoming/current deals at stores throughout areas such as South and Central Florida. By taking the conversation online, we’ve been able to reach more of our shoppers and provide them with a place to connect and share.

At Winn-Dixie, we love being close – after all, it’s all about family, food and fun. Connect with our family on our new Latino Facebook page at facebook.com/WinnDixieLatino.

@Udisglutenfree GF Vegetarian Meals!

Hello Ginger Carter!

Fall is officially upon us! This also means that football season is in full swing. Whether you're a college or NFL fan (or maybe not really a football fanatic at all), you're sure to be invited to a few tailgate parties or Monday Night Football get-togethers. Luckily, we are here to arm you with some helpful tips, tricks, and recipes to help you avoid gluten while cheering for the home team!

Do you love putting on your favorite (slightly worn out) jersey, grabbing your friends, and hosting an epic party to watch the big game!? We have some simple suggestions for creating a gluten free spread that the whole gang will enjoy! Read on at your own risk...you may be asked to host for the rest of the season.
  • Consider easy, naturally gluten free appetizers, such as salsa, hummus or guacamole!
  • Just pop one of our Udi's Gluten Free Frozen Pizzas in the oven for a quick and delicious half-time meal.
  • You can't have a football party without wings! Remember, it's all about the sauce so make sure to have a variety to choose from.
  • Finish off the game with a decadent gluten free dessert. Try using a gluten free cake mix to make these football cupcakes!
Going meatless one (or several) days a week can provide several health benefits to you and your family. If Meatless Monday is something you'd like to try this month, below are some amazingly delicious gluten free AND vegetarian recipes:
  • Baked Breakfast: Quinoa Oatmeal
    A perfect on-the-go morning breakfast! You can even make this healthy morning treat ahead of time so that all you have to do is heat and serve.
  • Roasted Portobellos w/ Roasted Peppers and Blue Cheese
    This beautiful entrée is definitely a crowd-pleaser! Serve this at your next dinner party and you'll be sure to hear squeals of excitement!
  • Apple Nachos
    Although the name of this dish may conjure up some doubts at first, once you see this delicious combination of apples, chocolate, coconut and pecans come together you won't be able to keep your hands off!
