Mark your calendar, gluten-free friends! It is worth the ride to the Crossville Road Outback in Roswell, Georgia, on Tuesday June 15 from 4 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
When I saw Julie Arens, who with former proprietor Tom Propp was the visionary behind this spectacular dedicated GF treat, Saturday night, she said Outback will be having a very special day-long party to celebrate the birthday of this delectable treat! It's a tribute to the fact that people come to this Outback from all over the country because of the dedicated fryer and gluten-free goodies. (I am especially partial to the Bloomin' Onion, but I also love the coconut shrimp...)
There will be some cool surprises for all you gluten-free diners -- but you'll have to be there to find out what they are!
My first visit to the Outback in Roswell, I wrote this blog post about this wonderful treat and all the things this Outback is offering. I rarely make a visit to Atlanta that I don't go to this Outback and have a safe gluten-free meal, including the Bloomin' Onion.
And I am not alone. Julie says that one in every four tickets at the Crossville Road Outback involves a gluten-free order. Can you IMAGINE? It's just a dream come true!
The new proprietor, Jenn Obrofta, wants to continue this wonderful service to the gluten-free community. For than, I know we're all grateful. Let's show her how grateful we are and show up for this special birthday party! Pack the house, baby. Pack the house!
If you'd like to come to the Birthday Party, here's a map:
And here's the address and all the details:
655 Crossville Road
Roswell, GA 30075
Because this will be a special celebration, you might want to call ahead for seating (770) 998-5630
I'll be there...will you? Frankly I want to see the whole place packed with gluten-free people!
Much love, and pass me some GF Bloomin' Onion! Happy Birthday!

O I wish I could go! It's my bday but I feel like Ohio is a bit to far of a drive!
I live a mile away from this Outback! And FYI, next door to it is Trader Joe's which has a bunch of gluten free goodies and even a printed list of all the gf stuff you can find in the store. Hopefully, I'll see ya on the 15th!

I'll be there in spirit!
I gotta admit, Ging, that it would tickle me pink to eat a gf bloomin' onion! Hope it was a great celebration! ;-)
Hugs,
Shirley
