The Stocking Stuffer #GF Gazette: Fat Toad Farm Caramel

This is the first in a series of ideas for gluten-free stocking stuffers for 2012. If you have something you want me to consider, let me know.

You've certainly heard of "Love at First Bite"?
This caramel from Fat Toad Farm is indeed heaven on a spoon!

When I received the samples of this wonderful goat's milk caramel sauce, I have to admit, I hid it.  I didn't want anyone to find this before I had a chance to really taste it.  And I'm glad I did. It is that good. Unlike others, I didn't try this on ice cream, cake, or anything else.  I just took my spoon and ate it. And I got the vapors, it was so good!  Rich, but with a slight tangy bite. The salt mellows it to perfection.

Salted caramel, you say? Do not turn up your nose. Goat's milk caramel? Ditto.  This is fine stuff.

Here's some information from their press release:

Vermont’s Fat Toad Farm recently introduced its fifth caramel flavor—Salted Bourbon—to its nationally distributed line of gluten-free goat’s milk caramel sauces.

Inspired by a year of R&D, Fat Toad Farm sisters Hannah Reid and Calley Hastings have come up with ten sweet and savory recipe ideas to get creative with caramel this holiday season. One particularly delectable idea involves a hunk of creamy Brie, sliced almonds and an oven.  Check out the link below for the full press release, information and pricing and recipes, plus Fat Toad Farms’ list of 10 Things You Didn’t Know You Could Do With Goat’s Milk Caramel.

http://www.fattoadfarm.com/ is their website. You can also find them on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/fattoadfarm. They're @FatToadFarmVT on Twitter.

The caramel comes in two- and eight-ounce jars, as well as a variety of gift packaging—ideal for the goat’s-milk-caramel novice and the obsessive alike.

And, they have FREE SHIPPING THIS WEEK.  Guess what I'm doing when this post is finished.  That's right....it's order time! I have always wanted to make sticky Toffee Pudding, and this would be the perfect caramel topper for it.

I know any lover of caramel would appreciate a jar of this in his or her stocking!
I know I would.  Hint hint, Santa.....

Much love,
Ging
